About This Site
The Student Grants and Fellowship Database at Yale University serves students, administrators,
and the university as a whole by centralizing Yale funded and Yale administered grants, fellowships,
and internships, both domestic and international, into a searchable and dynamic web-based
interface. This project is a joint effort of the Law School,
the Graduate School, the Secretary's Office, the Office of International Education and Fellowship
Programs, and the Yale Center for International and Area Studies. While each of these has
contributed funds to this project, the major donor is Thomas C. Barry, Yale College Class of 1966.
For Students
For students, the database provides a secure location to research, save results, and register
all in one web interface. It is powerful enough to search through hundreds of grants and fellowships,
yet still find the most pertinent opportunities available. The database also allows saving of
searches and on-line registration for multiple grants and fellowships.
For Administrators
The design of the database is structured for administrators as well. Its data entry technique
is simple and flexible to accommodate many file formats. Management privileges can be assigned to
create an efficient workflow within a department, allowing various staff to edit and approve grant
and fellowship publishing. Reporting features provide a range of possibilities, from finding
application statistics and demographics to knowing where students are if issues of health and
safety arise.
For Yale University
This tool also allows for prospective students, funding institutes, and the public at-large
to see how education and research about our world and ourselves is alive at Yale University.
